Containment Measures extended in East Jaintia Hills

The District Magistrate of East Jaintia Hills District has extended the Containment Measures in the District from 4:00 PM of June 21 till further orders.

As per order, the Containment Measures has been extended to tackle the COVID-19 situation as number of positive cases in the District is still high and there is a significant spread in the villages of the District.

The order stated that labourers/employees engaged in private sectors/factories which involve movement within the same village/ locality are permitted to attend work but limiting to 50% of the normal strength.

Furthermore, farmers/labourers are permitted to carry out their activities only if movement is within the same village/ locality. Persons travelling to vaccination sites will also be allowed subject to verification of having registered for vaccination. DPRO
