    In the run-up to the celebration of the 50th year of statehood, Meghalaya’s Directorate of Arts & Culture is organizing an Open-to-All Competition for designing of State Emblem and coining a suitable Tagline.

    Win handsome cash prizes worth Rs 1,25,000/- (one lakh twenty-five thousand) for State Emblem and Rs 50,000/- (fifty thousand) for Tagline. Participants should submit their entries to the office on or before May 21, 2021.

    Terms and condition:

    1. Participants have to be residents of Meghalaya. (An EPIC card may be furnished as proof of residence.)

    2. Participants are to submit their entries to the office of the undersigned at Room No. 506, Additional Secretariat on or before 21st May 2021 during office hours. Online entries will be also accepted at the following email [email protected]

    3. A proof of residency may be submitted during the time of registration.

    4. Department of Arts and Culture reserves the right to allow or debar applicants as per the norms.

    5. All artwork/design/tagline should be original works of the participants, and should capture the unique essence of the state, befitting of a State Emblem.

    6. A comprehensive write up is to be submitted along with the design/tagline, indicating the concept and the relevance of the work submitted cogently and with clarity.

    7. All entries are to be submitted in original high resolution file format along wioth a PDF format for purposes of evaluation.

    8. Entries from participants beyond the last date of submission which is 21st May 2021, will not be accepted.
