Cold Storage facility for agricultural goods inaugurated

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma inaugurated the Solar-powered Cold Storage at Lower Rengsingpara, Tikrikilla, West Garo Hills District.

The plant has been installed at a total cost of Rs 15 Lakhs with 5 MT capacity and it was jointly funded by MEGHA-LAMP & SELCO foundation.

This storage plant for Rengsingpara IVCS Ltd will covered 7 villages & will aid farmers to preserve their perishable produce & prevent wastage and losses.

Meanwhile, Sangma also inaugurated the Collective Marketing Center(CMC), an initiative of the Rengsingpara IVCS Ltd. Nice to see community contribution & participation in setting up these two facilities.

Later, the Chief Ministrr inaugurated the 7KW solar power system at the Tikrikilla PHC. The system is a blessing courtesy of Global Himalayan Expedition who also sponsored many medical equipment to the PHC.
