    JOWAI: State Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma congratulated Bakordor W Bannett of Pariong Presbytery Hr. Sec. School, Mawthadraishan Block, West Khasi Hills for receiving an award at the ‘National Awards to Teachers 2019’.

    Bannett received the award from Hon’ble President of India Ram Nath Kovind at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi today. She is one of the 46 teachers felicitated from around the country for meritorious service in education at the award ceremony.

    State Award from West Jaintia Hills Smt. Chwadaka Laloo BA, BEd, Assisitant Teacher, KJP Synod Mihngi Higher Secondary School, Jowai. From East Jañtia Hills Smt. Debonne Grace Sutnga MA BEd Headmistress Sutnga, Govt. UP School Sutnga.

    District awards were conferred in the Secondary level to Smt. Bliss Lyngdoh, B.Sc, B.Ed, Vice Principal, Jowai Public School. Upper Primary Level to Smt. S Charity Dkhar, BA, B. Ed, Headmaster, Khliehtyrshi UP School, Lower Primary Level to Smt. Priskila Paswet, B. A GNTC (Trained) Assistant Teacher, Panaliar Government L.P School, Jowai.

    Special Award for teacher teaching in Inclusive Schools was awarded to Sr. Angela C. Dingengi, B, Com, School of Mother Elizabeth for Visually Impaired Children, Jalatein Mulang Nongbah, West Jaintia Hills District.

    The best Scout Master was awarded to Thijlang Suchiang, Mookaiaw from Government Uppers Primary School and Best Guides Captain to Miss Ioowanka Suchiang from Modern Secondary School, Ialong.
