    Moolamylliang Village Dorbar, in East Jaintia Hills District, known for its greenery and cleanliness among the villages in the district will kick off its Christmas festival on December 18, 2023, with string lights along with different lightings that have been prepared to brighten up the village.

    The village is located at a distance of 112 km from Shillong and 15 km from the District headquarter of Khliehriat is all set to welcome people to it the village in the daytime, and those planning to bring their refreshments, can visit the field area adjacent to the village. 

    The programme will start at 5 pm where Dr WR Kharlukhi, MP Rajya Sabha Meghalaya Shillong will be the Chief Guest and Santa Mary Shylla, MLA Sutnga Saipung will be the guest of honour.

    The lights will be lighted every evening from 5 pm to 12 midnight and this will go on till the January 3, 2024.

    To attract the music-loving crowd, a Christmas concert will be organized on the evening of December 22, 2023 where the band “Taken Aback” from Mawngap, East Khasi Hills District and “The Lynx” from West Jaintia hills District Jowai will perform. 

    On December 23, 2023 music night will be held featuring Eladmitre Dkhar and DJ Wanshan.

    Interested travelers have the option of overnight accommodation is available in Tista Guest House, East Side Inn, Mon Maya Guest House, and Wika Guest House. 

    They may use Google Maps “Moolamylliang Presbyterian Church” or by scanning the OR Code.
