Charles Marngar elected unopposed as KHADC deputy chairman

Congress MDC from Mawhati Charles Marngar on Wednesday was elected unopposed as the new deputy chairman of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).

The election was held after NPP MDC from Mawsynram Alvin Khyriem Sawkmie tendered his resignation from the post.

Giving his maiden address, Marngar sought the support and cooperation of all members for the smooth conduct of the House.

He said that 2023 has been kind to him as he had won the Assembly election and today he was also elected as deputy chairman of the Council.
