Call for Hindu nation echoes in Nepal as Swami Swadeshanand Brahma Giri receives International Saint Honour

In a fiery and symbolic gathering at Ram Dhuni in Biratnagar, Nepal, spiritual leader Swami Swadeshanand Brahma Giri Maharaj was conferred the prestigious International Saint Honour during a high-profile conclave pushing for Nepal’s return to Hindu nation status.
Led by Ebraj Acharya, National President of the International Saint Intellectual Forum Nepal, and Chandreshwar Chaudhary, Chairman of the Sanatan Dharma Management Committee, the mega event drew over 20,000 Sanatanis and saints from across the globe. A 10-kilometre Kalash Shobha Yatra marched from Biratnagar to Ram Dhuni, setting the stage for a charged appeal to formally declare Nepal a Hindu nation.

Swami Swadeshanand, also International President of the Forum, was honoured in front of a roaring crowd for his leadership and advocacy. Leading a delegation from India, he declared, “Nepal and India are bonded by blood, not just borders. From Sita’s Mithila to Buddha’s Lumbini, we are one civilization divided only by politics.”
Calling Nepal “the only country never enslaved” and the “strongest global bastion of Sanatan Dharma,” he urged the unification of Hindu-majority nations under the vision of Akhand Bharat (Undivided India).

The rally wasn’t just spiritual—it was political. Speeches by Nepalese lawmakers like former Forest Minister Shankar Bhandari, MP Kiran Shah, and others echoed calls for a cultural and religious revival. Indian figures including Ravi Kiran Sahu (Madhya Pradesh), Dilip Bhagat (Narendra Modi Thought Forum), and International Saint Forum leaders joined the charge.
“Our mission is clear,” said Swami Swadeshanand. “Declare India and Nepal Hindu nations. Unite Sanatanis across the globe.”
With religious sentiment and nationalism running high, the event marked a bold moment in the growing Hindu revivalist movement linking India and Nepal—both spiritually and politically.
