    The Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday seized medicines, cosmetics and clothing items worth more than Rs 20 lakh on different locations of the international border while being smuggled to Bangladesh.

    Acting on reliable information, BSF troops deployed at International Border of West Jaintia Hills planned an operation and foiled the smuggling attempt by seizing medicines consisting Tab Ista20, cap Mon Q, Oint Drone TM, Oint Cesol, Syrup VB3 and many others total amount to Rupees 10 lac 90 thousand.

    In other incidents, BSF troops confiscated huge quantities of cosmetics and clothing from the bordering area of South West Khasi Hills and East Khasi hills.

    1 Bangladesh national namely Feroz Ali (18) resident of Sylhet, Bangladesh was also  apprehended by BSF at Pyrdwah under PS- Pynursla while carrying cosmetics illegally from India to Bangladesh.

    BSF troops confiscated cosmetics worth Rs 9 lakhs.
