The Seema Praharis under BSF Meghalaya Frontier organized a Civic Action Program (CAP) along the Indo-Bangladesh Border in Meghalaya on February 26, demonstrating their commitment to the welfare of the bordering communities.

The troops of 1st Bn BSF Meghalaya organized a Civic Action Programme (CAP) near Border Out Post Mahadev. The program commenced with a medical camp, where BSF doctors provided free health checkups and distributed medicines to villagers from bordering villages in the South Garo Hills district, including Kanai, Galasora, Mahadev, Patlaban, Durbeta and Maheshkhola. More than 150 villagers benefited from the medical camp. As part of the CAP, sewing machines, stretchers, tarpaulins, tables, chairs, etc., were distributed to schools and villagers.

Simultaneously, 100 Bn BSF Meghalaya organized another CAP, during which various sports and household items were distributed to the residents of bordering villages Jatrakona and Nagrajora. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from headmen, secretaries, school teachers, students, and villagers from nearby areas.

BSF Meghalaya remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a strong bond with the border communities and will continue to undertake such initiatives for the well-being of the residents in the region.
