    The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended individuals foiling their attempt to infiltrate into the country.

    The Border Security Force (BSF) on Feb 11, 2025 the vigilant troops of the 172 Bn, BSF Meghalaya, foiled an infiltration attempt by apprehending 2 Bangladeshi nationals (1 male and 1 female) along with 2 Indian touts and an Alto vehicle while they were attempting to cross the IB in the East Jaintia Hills District.

    Again, on February 10, 2025, vigilant troops of the 4th Bn, BSF Meghalaya, apprehended three Bangladeshi female nationals while they were attempting to cross the international boundary in the East Khasi Hills District foiling yet another infiltration attempt.

    Prior to that, on February 9, 2025, based on specific input, alert troops of the 4th Bn of BSF Meghalaya apprehended an Indian suspect at the International Boundary in the East Khasi Hills district while infiltrating from Bangladesh.
