    The Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya, during operations conducted on February 21, successfully foiled illegal smuggling attempts along the international border. Alert troops intercepted consignments of Phensedyl cough syrup and sugar intended for smuggling into Bangladesh.

    Acting on specific intelligence, the vigilant troops of the 172nd Battalion of BSF in Meghalaya intercepted 200 bottles of Phensedyl cough syrup being smuggled through the international border in East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya.

    In separate operations, conducted by vigilant BSF troops in Meghalaya, three Indian nationals were apprehended, and over 6,800 kilograms of sugar were seized from various bordering districts. The confiscated contraband was handed over to the respective customs office and police station for further necessary legal action.
