    Vigilant troops of the 04 Bn BSF Meghalaya Frontier apprehended 13 Bangladeshi nationals involved in smuggling activities, acting on specific intelligence.

    The troops also led to the seizure of 35 bags of sugar and other contraband items, including liquor, tea, copper wire, local cigarettes, skin cream, blankets, garlic, and other edible goods, with the total value estimated at Rs 10.50 lakh.

    The apprehended individuals were handed over to Dawki Police Station in West Jaintia Hills District for further legal action after a medical examination at PHC Dawki on December 22, 2024

    The special operations were conducted at various locations in the East Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills, and South Garo Hills districts.

    The Border Security Force remains unwavering in its commitment to safeguarding India’s borders and continues to combat cross-border illegal activities, including infiltration and smuggling
