Body of a woman found inside a car at Mawpat
The body of a 21-year-old woman was found lying inside a vehicle parked along the roadside at Mawpat here on Friday morning.
The vehicle was locked from inside when the residents of the area spotted the woman who was lying dead in the driver’s seat.
When contacted, SP (City) Vivek Syiem informed that charcoal was also burnt next to the body besides notes that reflect that someone was emotionally disturbed. According to him, there were no injury marks found on the body and that nothing can be ruled out so far.
“However, police are still investigating the case from all angles,” he said while adding that police are also waiting for the post mortem report.
