Bodies of all 4 landslide victims recovered from Nongpriang

Bodies of the four victims of the landslide at Nongpriang in East Khasi Hills District have been recovered on Friday.

Confirming this, Secretary in-charge Revenue & Disaster Management Matsiewdor War Nongbri said, “Bodies of all the four victims have been recovered today and that the minister will also be visiting the village tomorrow.”

On May 30, four persons died after they were trapped when two houses were completely washed away by a devastating landslide at Nongpriang village under Shella-Bholaganj block.

The deceased victims have been identified as Phisar Nongrum (75), Kynmaw Syngai (70), Benti Riahtam (60) and Master Lumlang Riahtam (16).
