National People’s Party (NPP) national vice president and deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong on Monday termed the recent statement of the BJP Meghalaya In-charge Dr Chuba Ao that within a month’s time, his party will take a final call to pull out of the MDA government as a political gimmick.

Speaking to reporters, Tynsong said, “This is a political gimmick created by the so-called high command of the BJP or may be it is in the capacity of his own views that I don’t know but the way the allegations made from time to time it is found to be a political gimmick.”

He also said that the NPP welcomed the BJP’s decision to pull out of the MDA government.

“The MDA government under the leadership of Conrad K Sangma and my stand is very clear that if they want to pull out of the MDA government we welcome that but it seems it is already late,” he said.

Dr Ao had also stated that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will go against the MDA government for the alleged several allegations of corruption.

Tynsong said that by saying this the BJP leader only proves that the allegations of the AAP and TMC are true.

“It seems that BJP now prove very clearly as alleged by AAP, be it TMC they are using the ED or CBI as their political tool,” Tynsong said.

He said that the BJP should call the ED and CBI when it is part of the MDA government if it thinks that it is very clean.
