The BJP has decided to organize a self-reliant camp to create mass awareness on schemes and alternative livelihood.

Informing this on Tuesday, BJP leader and Tura MDC Bernard N Marak said that the party is taking the problems faced by the youths seriously.

“To end such situations, we will organise a Self Reliant camp to aware and assist the deprived youths in general. The youths will also be assisted by the monitoring teams to ensure eligible youths avail the schemes and are not deprived at any level. This will truly materialise Narendra Modi’s vision and mission to make our youths Self Reliant,” Marak said.

Stating that the unemployed youths are the most deprived ones in a state, Marak said Central Schemes which aimed to uplift the unemployed youths through financial assistance remained a mere dream to many because eligible unemployed youths were not given financial support by the banks.

He said the youths expressed their anguish in not availing bank loans on mere pretext of not being able to provide collateral security or for not being salaried which on a contrary gravely defeats Narendra Modi’s vision.

He said unemployed youths should have been the real beneficiaries of many youth oriented schemes launched by  Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Narendra Modi’s dream was to make the unemployed youths Self Reliant in every state irrespective of their background but in reality, the agencies made these schemes more of a disappointment through bad policies and by setting up their own rules, the MDC said.

The BJP leader alleged that banks denied loans to genuine beneficiaries merely because they are unemployed and couldn’t afford collateral securities or guarantors.

Some banks sanctioned loans to politically recommended youths while most are deprived.

Some banks  went to the extreme of demanding work experience while others favoured salaried youths, he said.

“The general youths for whom these schemes were launched were mostly deprived, victimised who gave up in frustration and disappointments. Narendra Modi’s vision was to support the unemployed youths making them Self Reliant and that is what we want to ensure that eligible youths should not be deprived at any cost. Youths are the future of the nation and BJP wants to ensure their future is secure,” he said.
