BJP sees “religious card” as main challenge to expansion in Meghalaya

BJP chief spokesperson M Kharkrang said the “religious card” played by the opposition parties is the only challenge faced by the party while trying to expand its organization in Meghalaya.
Speaking to media persons after a party meeting on Saturday, Kharkrang said that the issue was discussed on how the party can counter this narrative.
“From what I see the only challenge for the BJP in Meghalaya is only that, it is the religious card which is being played by all political parties, who are against the party,” he said while adding “if people look beyond it, the party can establish a strong foothold.”
During the crucial organizational meeting, experts and speakers from Delhi have deliberated on the party’s grassroot development strategy and booth-level organization.
According to Kharkrang, the meeting emphasized the party’s commitment to developing India from the grassroots level, aligning with Prime Minister’s vision.
Regarding the upcoming GHADC election, Kharkrang clarified that it was not discussed in the meeting as it is a state election.
On the NPP’s claims of credit for central schemes, he said the party’s focus is on ensuring that deserving beneficiaries receive the benefits, regardless of who gets the credit.
“We are not bothered about credit; our priority is to ensure that the schemes reach the people who deserve them,” Kharkrang added.
According to him, the BJP is committed to continue implementing the developmental schemes for the benefit of the people of the state.
