BJP not to pull out of NPP-led govt: Momin

As part of gearing up its preparation for the upcoming 2028 elections, the BJP has appointed new state officerts for 2025-2028 even as it ruled out possibility of pulling out of the National People’s Party (NPP)-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government – 2.
“As party prepares itself for future election in the state, the national president JP Nadda has approved a new state team to oversee the organizational preparation for 2028 electons,” BJP state president Rikman G Momin told reporters at a news conference held on Saturday.
“Inside organization, sometimes we have to see how to run the party. As a party, I am head of the party and I have to see how party goes. I have to change for some who are inefficient working for the party,” he added.
Whether the party is considering delinking from the NPP-led government in the state, Momin said, “That depends on the central leadership because since NPP is in alliance with the BJP through the NDA so they are still in alliance with it.”
