BJP Meghalaya spreads Christmas cheer to less fortunate

Various state units of BJP Meghalaya rang in the festive spirit by celebrating pre-Christmas with those who are less fortunate amongst us, spreading cheer along the way. Many places brightened up with the celebrations ensuring joy, smiles and merry laughter echoed through the air as a harbinger to the festive season.

The BJP Meghalaya Mahila Morcha team visited the God’s Dream Children’s Home at Pynthorbah much to the delight of the little ones. The all women team mingled with the inmates, handed out gifts and spread the message of love which embodies the very spirit of Christmas. The unit came out of the home leaving behind beaming faces and memories to cherish for a life time.

BJYM, the youth wing of the party visited the TB hospital in Shillong. The young brigade interacted with patients and their families, distributing happiness amongst one and all. Along with the message of Christmas the team also spread awareness about TB free India campaign and Nikshay Poshan Yojana scheme (nutritional support to TB patients).

In a unique way of celebrating pre-Christmas, BJP Schedule Tribe (ST) Morcha spent the occasion with BPL kids at an Anganwadi Centre at Shillong cantonment. During the program educational gifts were distributed to the children ensuring absolute ecstasy.
