BJP Tura MDC Bernard N Marak on Sunday informed that the song “Once” will be recorded and released in dedication to the victims of Manipur conflict.

He expressed his desire to organise a prayerful evening and a fund-raising concert in his constituency, Tura to pray for peace and the victims Manipur violence.

“Manipur is burning and lives are lost, families displaced due to conflict between the two communities. People at some point try to politicise by trying to blame the ruling government (BJP) in Manipur but the communal conflict is beyond control due to emotional rage. We all witnessed a similar situation in our own state years ago and when darkness prevailed, only prayers work. God alone can bring peace to Manipur,” Marak said in a statement.

“The song “Once” is being composed keeping in mind that where all hope is lost, our faith gives us hope,” he added.
