BJP leader and Tura MDC Bernard N Marak on Tuesday condemned the mob attack at the chief minister’s office at Tura.

Marak in a video statement said what happened at the CMO was very unfortunate.

“We condemned the violence that took place and we condemned the people who have instigated the violence,” he said.

7 BJP activists & 11 TMC activists arrested for 24/7 Tura incident

At least seven BJP members including two mahilas were among the 18 arrested for their alleged involvement in the stone pelting incident.

“Out of the 18 people who have been arrested only these two ladies have been highlighted and trying to disgrace their image is not good because similar incidents have happened in Manipur recently and this is another case that is going on in Tura,” Marak said.

“Let law takes its own course but let there be no personal attacking on anybody that is my request,” he added.
