    The interstate vehicular movement between Meghalaya and Assam, Mizoram, Tripura and Mizoram have been completely stopped on Wednesday for the past several hours due to the another incident of massive landslide in the same location for the fourth time within few weeks.

    Police said huge boulder size of tunnel and debris blocked the Sonapur Tunnel near Narpuh Wildlife Sanctuary due to landslide in the early morning on Wednesday.

    The incident disrupted vehicular movements along the National Highway 06.

    Restoration work is underway, however there is no loss to human life and damage of any vehicle.

    Notably, Vehicular movement in National Highway 6 along East Jaintia Hills District was disrupted for three time on September, last.

    Concerned citizens of the areas wondered when will the Meghalaya Govt depute a specialized team to ascertain the exact cause of the mudslide and go for permanent remedy.
