    The Bank of India, Lumsohphoh Branch, Shillong has been closed down after the detection of COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday.

    The District Magistrate issued an order based on the report received from the Incident Commander, Zone-I and the Medical Officer in-charge Nongthymmai UPHC that COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the Bank of India, Lumsohphoh Branch.

    “The Bank of India, Lumsohphoh Branch will remain temporarily closed with effect from 9th to 11th October, 2020 to facilitate contact tracing, sanitization and testing,” the order said.

    In another order, the District Magistrate has declared the Ground floor of the building of Smti J Lyngdoh, Howell Road, Laban, house of Smti N. Marwein, Lawsohtun Block 5 and house of Remewell Marpna at Lower Mawprem as micro containment after the detection of new COVID-19 positive cases.

    Further, the district administration has lifted the containment order for Second floor of Bharti Bhavan Building at Lower Mawprem, the houses of Ibanylla Wanniang and Shanborlang Kharnarbi (second floor) at Lower Mawprem.
