    The Director of Higher & Technical Education in Meghalaya issued a public notice for all students benefiting from various scholarship schemes through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

    In the notice issued by Director of Higher & Technical Education in Meghalaya A. Ch. Marak, IAS, it is stated, “It is to inform all students availing benefits from different types of scholarship schemes via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) are required to comply with the following.”

    • Applicants are required to complete their Aadhaar enrollment well in advance before the NSP portal opens for different scholarship schemes, to allow them to avail the same. Moreover, upon receiving the Aadhaar cards, they may be seeded/linked with the applicants’ own bank account to enable seamless disbursement of scholarship funds.
    • As per the latest scholarship guidelines and government notification, only the Income Certificates issued by the Deputy Commissioners of all districts, Sub-Divisional Officers of the Sub-Divisions, and Block Development Officers will be acceptable during scholarship application. Certificates issued by other authorities or by affidavit will no longer be acceptable.
