    The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, Amlarem on Thursday has imposed restriction prohibiting assembly of 5 or more persons in and around the 5 kms border belt of Amlarem Sub-Division.

    The order was issued to prevent Trans border crimes including smuggling of any other illegal activities in the Border Belt with Bangladesh.

    The order come into force with immediate effect and remain in force until further orders.

    It is stated that restriction has been imposed as it has come to the notice of the Sub-  Divisional Magistrate, Amlarem through a complaint received from Commandant, 20 BN BSF Umpling, Letter No.Ops/CRPC/30Bn/2021/4086-89, Dt. 02. 09. 2021 that attempts to indulge in trans-border crimes including smuggling and other illegal activities is on the rise and occurrence of such activities along with illegal entry of Bangladeshi/ Criminals/ Smugglers might disturbed the public peace and tranquility in the Indo-Bangladesh border region.

    It further states that any violation of the above conditions will be strictly dealt with as per relevant provisions of law.
