Assam’s Teqball Talents set for nationals after high-energy training camp finale in Guwahati

The week-long Teqball Training cum Selection Camp organized by the Teqball Association of Assam concluded with an energetic closing ceremony at Nehru Stadium, R.G. Baruah Sports Complex. The camp, held from June 3 to 10, aimed to train and select players for the upcoming Open National, Youth, and Sub-Junior Teqball Championship 2025, set to take place in Nashik from June 12–16.
Dr. Bishnu Ram Nunisa, general secretary of the Assam Sepak Takraw Association (ASTA), was the chief guest at the ceremony. He commended the association for its dedication to promoting Teqball in the state and encouraged the young athletes to stay committed and perform with excellence on the national stage.
The event also saw active participation from Devajit Gogoi, secretary of the Teqball Association of Assam, and other core members who were instrumental in organizing the successful camp. They expressed pride in the selected team and pledged full support for their preparation and performance.
The selected players now carry not just their training, but also the hopes of Assam, as they head to Nashik. With eyes on the national championship, they also aim to earn their place in the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain.
