    Assam recorded the highest voter turnout during the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in four constituencies on Tuesday.

    The third phase of voting was conducted in Guwahati, Dhubri, Barpeta and Kokrajhar Lok sabha constituencies along with 94 constituencies of 12 states of the country.

    Assam recorded 75.57% voter turnout till 9.15 am in the four seats. The voter turnout may further increase as many polling stations in the interior parts of the state are yet to report on the polling.

    The overall voter turnout of the country was 62.13%.

    Assam was followed by Goa with 74.32% and West Bengal with 73.93% voter turnout.

    The voter turnout in Bihar was 56.55%, Chhatisgarh 66.99%, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu 65.23%, Gujarat 56.83%, Karnataka 68.25%, Madhya Pradesh 63.19%, Maharashtra 54.98% and the voter turnout in UP was 57.34%.
