    In a step towards enhancing operational efficiency and service standards, Raj Bhavan, Assam under the leadership of Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the North East Skill Centre (NESC), in the presence of the Governor at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.

    The MoA was signed by the Joint Secretary, Governor’s Secretariat, Bidit Das and the Principal of North East Skill Centre Indrajit Singha to forge a partnership aimed at providing structured training and deploying skilled manpower in hospitality, housekeeping and food and beverage services in Raj Bhavan, Assam.

    As part of this agreement, students enrolled at the North East Skill Centre will undergo internship/on-the-job training at Raj Bhavan. The NESC under Assam Skill Development Mission will oversee the quality of services rendered by the interns to increase the standard of hospitality aligned with institutional expectations. Upon successful completion of their internship, the students will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Internship’ by Raj Bhavan.

    The project not only focuses on creating experiential learning opportunities for the students but also aims at augmenting the day-to-day operations of Raj Bhavan.

    The agreement also includes training and skill upgradation of the existing staff of Raj Bhavan thereby strengthening the institutional capacity in the areas of hospitality and allied services.

    Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt.of Assam B Kalyan Chakravarthy, Commissioner & Secretary to the Governor S.S. Meenakshi Sundaram and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
