    In latest infringement into the territory of Meghalaya, the Assam State Electricity Board has erected over electric poles within the jurisdiction of Khanduli village, West Jaintia Hills District.

    Taking strong note of the infringement, the Khasi Students’ Union said that Assam has illegally trespassed into Khanduli Village by erecting the electric poles at Khlaw Samynthoo to Moikoiram.

    The KSU sought the intervention of Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills to stop the erection of electric pole.

    The ASEB has erecting electric poles without the consent of the village authority and the government.
