    Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated newly constructed building of Smt. Jamuna Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir at Langcherui, Umarangso, Dima Hasso District on Wednesday.

    The Chief Minister said Saraswati Vidya Mandir is a temple of education in reality. He also said the state government will provide assistance to establish more such institutions in Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong District.

    So that the youth of this area do not feel difficult to go to other places of the state and do their jobs, he added.

    Himanta appealed to the Saraswati Vidya Mandir authority and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council to include Assamese subjects in the curriculum of the educational institutions in the region.

    There is a huge possibility of tourism in Umarangso, the Chief Minister said “Our government is preparing to improve the road communication system of the entire Dima Hasao district along with this area.”

    He also assured that the government will soon give a good news to the people of the district.

    He informed that construction of new road 90 km from Haflong Tiniali under Assam Mala will start soon.

    Upgrading work of Lanka-Umarangso road will also be completed within one year, he also said

    The Chief Minister said in the next 6-7 months, the cabinet meeting will be held at Umrangso.

    Minister Nandita Garlosa, Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Tanghang, Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Committee Devalal Garlosa and others were present.
