The third edition of the ASEAN-India Artists’ Camp is being held in Shillong, bringing together 34 artists from India and ASEAN nations. The event, organized by SEHER, focuses on artistic interpretations of the Ramayana, with a final exhibition on April 7.

Notable attendees include Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs, senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, and ASEAN Heads of Missions. Renowned film personality Deepti Naval is also participating as a guest artist.

North East India is represented by Raphael Warjri from Meghalaya and Chandan Bez Barua from Assam. The camp explores diverse cultural perspectives on the Ramayana, with Warjri incorporating Khasi folklore into his work and Bez Barua drawing from Karbi traditions.

The event highlights Shillong’s role as a cultural hub and aims to foster artistic collaboration between India and ASEAN nations.
