Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul stormed the national capital on Wednesday, holding back-to-back high-level meetings to fast-track key cultural, tourism, and welfare initiatives for the state.

In a significant push to elevate Arunachal’s cultural footprint, Pul met Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, presenting proposals to boost heritage preservation and cultural infrastructure. She pitched the establishment of a Regional Cultural Centre of NEZCC at Jote, envisioned as a dynamic hub for indigenous music, art, and traditions.

“We’re determined to protect and promote Arunachal’s cultural soul,” Pul said, adding that the centre will become a beacon of tribal identity and creativity. She also called for the upgradation of Multi-Purpose Cultural Complexes (MPCCs) across the state to create inclusive spaces for youth and artisans.

Minister Shekhawat welcomed the proposals and assured full central support for the projects aimed at revitalizing the state’s cultural landscape.

Shifting focus to welfare, Pul met Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi to address implementation hurdles in flagship schemes. From infrastructure shortages to delivery bottlenecks in remote areas, Pul raised ground-level concerns affecting scheme outreach.

“The Union Minister was highly receptive and praised Arunachal’s commitment to empowering women and safeguarding children,” Pul said. She added that better Centre-state coordination was promised to ensure faster and more effective rollout of WCD programmes in the frontier state.

“Together with the Centre, we are focused on building an inclusive and secure future for our women and children,” she emphasized.

Pul also visited the BJP Central Library at the party headquarters and held a discussion with Prof Dr Aseervatham Zachary, National Coordinator, BJP. Calling it an “insightful exchange,” she said she deeply valued his role in strengthening the party’s intellectual and policy ecosystem.

With cultural pride, women’s rights, and grassroots development at the heart of her agenda, Pul’s Delhi visit signals Arunachal’s growing presence in national development conversations.
