    The District Transport Officer (DTO), West Garo Hills District has issued arrangements for public transportation vehicles for Tura Town from May 1 till May 10.

    According to District Transport Officer (DTO), West Garo Hills District local taxis, auto rickshaws, and buses are classified as Public Transport Vehicles and are permitted to operate within Tura Town during the Containment Period.

    The following are the arrangements:

    It is also notified that Public Transport vehicles are not allowed to ply on Sunday and apart from the above, no other vehicle are permitted to ply on the road except those with passes issued from the Deputy Commissioner of the District.

    Also stated that drivers are to ensure masks are worn by passengers and that there is proper social distancing. Violators will be punished by law, DTO mentions.
