Applications invited for Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme

The North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur invites applications for availing the Guru Shishya Parampara Scheme for the year 2022-2023. Candidates in the age group nof 45 to 70 years having thorough knowledge for imparting training in any cultural field of the region, i.e folk dance/songs, bamboo/cane/wood craft, folk theatre, mask making etc., and the emphasis is given on Dying & Vanishing art forms of the region. On selection and appointment of the Guru, he/she will appoint an Assistant and 4 Shishyas (in the age group of 15-25 years) and impart training for one year.

The rate of honoraria per month for one year is 1). Guru – Rs. 7,500/-, 2). Accompanist (Assistant) – Rs. 3,750/- and 3). Shishyas – Rs. 1,500/- per head per Shishya. The application along with bio-data and supporting documents should be sent/submitted to the Directorate of Arts & Culture, State Central Library complex, Shillong on or before 25^th July, 2023.
