ANTF nabs woman with Rs 1 Cr worth of heroin in Shillong

A 41-year-old woman was arrested with heroin worth Rs 1 crore from in Shillong on Friday night.

Acting on inputs, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) conducted a raid at the rented house of Nengneilhing Khongsai at Nongrah Nongpdeng and 18 soap boxes filled with suspected heroin were recovered from her room.

The total weight of the seized contraband was found to be 218.94 grams, with an estimated market value of approximately Rs 1 crore, police said.

Khongsai has been detained. An NDPS case has been registered and further investigation is underway, they added.
