Another 4 drug traffickers arrested in Shillong

Another four drug traffickers were arrested along with heroin from the city.

Out of this, three were arrested from Dhankheti bus shed and 1 from Dhankheti parking lot during a swift operation by the East Khasi Hills anti-narcotic task force (ANTF) on Wednesday evening, SP (City) Vivek Syiem said.

They are identified as Pollingstar David Nongsiej @ Lease (34), Haokholal Vaite (32), Thangabui Thado (44) and Jessie Lalsangzual  (33), he said.

From their possession, 15 soap cases and 3 vials containing 188.40 gms of heroin  worth Rs 75 lakhs, 5 mobile phones, Yamaha Ray ZR 125 scooty bearing No A/F and cash Rs1,64,820 have been seized, the SP said.

A case has been registered with the Laitumkhrah police station.

On Tuesday, six drug traffickers were also arrested.
