Ampareen visits health camp held at Mawshynrut

Health & Family Welfare Minister, Dr M Amapareen Lyngdoh on Thursday visited a Health Camp organized by Fanwar Faith INC. in collaboration with Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Jengjal Sub Divisional Hospital, RoUTES and Seventh-Day Adventist Church at Madan Pyndeng Mawlieh, Mawshynrut, West Khasi Hills District.
Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh visited the various booths and interacted with the Doctors, health workers, pharmacists and beneficiaries receiving free health check ups and medicines.
In her brief address, Dr Lyngdoh thanked the Fanwar Faith INC and other stakeholders for the noble community effort and for their dedication in providing better health care facilities to the remotest of places. The Minister upon learning also thanked the Mawsor clan for their willingness to donate part of their land for setting up a school in the village which will be initiated by the Fanwar Faith INC.
Upon interaction with the Doctors in the Health camp, the minister was informed that Diabetes and Hypertension is prone amongst the populace, she urged the residents to go for regular check ups to their nearest Health Sub Centers or Public Health Centers as it will be beneficial in the long run for their health.
The Health Camp was also attended by Doctors from Nongstoin Civil Hospital and Mairang Civil Hospital.
