    The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has issued an order instructing all local and tourist taxi drivers to stop operating their taxis in case they have contracted or suffered from Conjunctivitis. 

    As stated it has come to the notice of the District Administration that there are Local and Tourist Taxi drivers who continue to operate their taxis in spite of being suffering from this disease.

    To curb the spread of the infection to other passengers and the general public, the Deputy Commissioner has issued this order prompting strict action towards those Local and Tourist Taxi drivers who do not comply with.
