All schools and educational institutions to remain close for 10 days in North Garo Hills

The second wave of COVID-19 is spreading fast in many parts of the country and in some parts within the State of Meghalaya, the District Administration North Garo Hills District has directed all Government, Government Aided, Private, LP, UP, Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges including DIET to remain close with effect from 29 April 2021 till 8 May, 2021 in the entire North Garo Hills.

This is as according to an order issued by RP Marak, IAS, District Magistrate, North Garo Hills, Resubelpara under section 144 Cr.P.C. and also under section 2 of the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897.

The order read that ongoing MBOSE examination will continue as scheduled by strictly following COVID-19 protocols. All the institutions shall maintain the classes through online teaching.
