Ajamal arrested with 77 grams of heroin in East Jaintia Hills

Ajamal Husen of Natanpur village, Cachar District Assam was arrested for transportation of 77 grams of heroin in his Maruti Suzuki Baleno vehicle bearing registration No. AS 11 S 3488 at Lumshnong village, NH-06 near NHAI toll plaza, East Jaintia Hills District on Tuesday’s morning.

Police said Hussen originated from Silchar, Assam towards Ladrymbai, East Jaintia Hills District and was arrested during the checking of the vehicle.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno bearing one Mobile Phone (vivo) along with 2 (two) sim card, EPIC Card/Driving License/ Pan Card/Aadhar card were seized from Husen. Police said a case vide Lumshnong PS Case No. 08(3)2024 u/s 21(b)/29 NDPS Act has been registered against the arrested person.
