Agatha to support party decision over Rajya Sabha nomination

Former Tura MP Agatha K Sangma has denied rumors about her potential nomination for the Rajya Sabha seat, stating that there have been no discussions within the National People’s Party (NPP) regarding her candidacy. 

She emphasized her commitment to supporting the party’s decision, whatever that may be. 

“As of now, we have not had any discussion about the Rajya Sabha seat. These are just speculations. So, I can’t comment on it. All I can say is whoever my party decides, I fully support that candidate,” Sangma told reporters on Wednesday.

When asked if she’d accept a nomination, Sangma remained diplomatic, saying it’s a party decision and she’ll support it. 

“Like I said as of now we have not discuss it. May be in the future if there is a discussion I can let you know later. (Therefore), I can’t say as of now because like I said it is party’s decision not mine and I am just going to support the party,” she maintained.
