A patient commits suicide at Bethany hospital

A 26-year-old patient at Bethany hospital has allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place after a senior doctor of the Bethany hospital has been tested positive for COVID-19.

The deceased has been identified as one Paimingstar Jyrwa from South West Khasi Hills district, police officials said.

They said that the  patient had committed sucide by jumping from the hospital and died on the spot. 

According to them, the patient was admitted last week.
