A drug peddler arrested with heroin in Shillong

A drug peddler was arrested aong with 39.75 gram of heroin from Umshing here. 

George Diengdoh (23) has been arrested after seizing 3 soap boxes containing heroin with net weight being 39.75 gram from his possession, East Khasi Hills SP, Sylvester Nongtnger said on Sunday.

He said a case under the NDPS Act is being taken up.

Earlier, the ANTF swung into action after receiving intelligence tip off that a suspect by the nickname Breezy was proceeding from Byrnihat to buy drugs.

However the suspect manage to evade the police Naka as he could not be identified but the ANTF manage to locate him somewhere in Umshing area, the SP said. 

Accordingly, the Rangbah Shnong was contacted and after some recee, the suspect’s location was zeroed upon leading to the arrest of Diengdoh.
