    Sixty-three more persons have tested positive  on Thursday taking the total active cases in the state to 862.

    Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said fifty, including 41 Armed forces personnel, 8 civilians and 1 BSF jawan, we’re detected from East Khasi Hills district, seven BSF troopers from West Garo Hills district, five civilians from Ri Bhoi district and one from East Garo Hills district. 

    He also informed that five more patients which include 4 BSF and a civilian have also recovered today.

    With this, the total number of recoveries in the state has gone up to 730.

    Of the 862 active cases, East Khasi Hills has 515 cases that include 305 civilians, 117 armed forces personnel and 93 BSF, 214 in West Garo Hills and 100 in Ri Bhoi.

    In other districts, North Garo Hills has 10 cases, 8 in East Jaintia Hills, 3 in West Khasi Hills, 4 in West Jaintia Hills, 1 in South West Khasi Hills, 4 in South West Garo Hills, 2 in South Garo Hills and 1 in East Garo Hills.
