60-yrs-old man sent to 6 years imprisonment

Sixty-year-old Md. Nasir Khan, a resident of 9th Mile, Khanapara, Ri-Bhoi District has been convicted under POCSO Act and sent to six years rigorous imprisonment.

The Court of Special Judge (POCSO), Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh has sentenced the accused person to rigorous Imprisonment for 6 years and fine of Rs 20,000 for the offence u/s 9(n)/10 POCSO Act 2012.

In default of payment of fine, the convict shall undergo additional simple imprisonment for another 1 month.
