The National Cricket Academy (NCA) of the BCCI has selected six women players from the Meghalaya Cricket Association to attend a Senior Women North East camp in Dimapur from next month.

The MCA on Thursday also announced that four Meghalaya boys were also selected for a Zonal Cricket Academy camp in Guwahati, which will also begin in April.

The six women cricketers are some of the best performing and most consistent players that Meghalaya has produced so far. They are Daiaka Emigale Warjri, Debasmita Dutta, Ajima Sangma, Monica Lyngdoh Phawa, Neha Hajong and Suriti Kumari Ray.

The camp will run from 24 April to 18 May.

A total of 25 players from the North East zone have been selected by the BCCI’s All-India Senior Women Selection Committee for the camp.

The players have been chosen based on their good performances in the recently-concluded Senior Women’s T20 Trophy (October 2022) and Senior Women’s One Day Trophy (January 2023) held in Bangalore and Nagpur respectively.
