  • 55189 candidates set to appear for the SSLC examination

    The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) scheduled to commence on March 4 will have 55189 candidates appearing for the examination.

    As per information from Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), the number of female candidates is 31940 and males is 23249.

    There will be 159 centers (91 in Shillong region and 68 in Tura region). So far, there are 1868 SSLC institutions (675 affiliated institutions in Shillong and Tura region and 1193 unaffiliated institutions in Shillong and Tura region).

    On the other hand, a total of 34335 candidates appeared in the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC). The HSSLC examination started on March 1.

    There is a total of 28072 students in the Arts stream (male- 10856, female – 17216), Science stream is 3812 (male- 1568, female – 2244), Commerce is 2440 (male- 1318, female – 1122), Vocational is 11(male – 7, female – 4).

    There will be 108 HSSLC examination centres- 67 and 41 in Shillong and Tura region respectively.

    There are 428 HSSLC institutions (270 affiliated in Shillong and Tura and 158 unaffiliated institutions in Shillong and Tura).
