5 MCS officers promoted to IAS rank

Five Meghalaya Civil Service Officers have been nominated to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) by the Centre.

As per a notification issued on March 8, Wilfred Nongsiej, Varianarica Syiem, Raksin P. Marak, Ambrose Ch. Marak and Bhupesh Hajong have been appointed to the Indian Administrative Service against vacancies for the year 2019 as determined by the Centre and in consultation with the state government.
