  • 5.32 lakh households provided FHTC under JJM in Meghalaya

    Over 5,32,297 households are provided with functional household tap connection under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). 

    This was informed by PHE Minister Marcuise N Marak in a reply tabled in the Assembly on Wednesday. 

    “Approximately 81.78 percent of the total target (has been achieved),” Marak said. 

    He informed that as many as 8 of 10 JJM schemes have been completed in Mawlai while work of two schemes are in progress.

    The eight completed schemes include augmentation of Umsaw Mawtawar water supply scheme, augmentation of Mawkynroh Umshing WSS, retrofitting of Mawsiatkhnam village, augmentatin of Mawsiatkhnam village WSS, Madan Mawkhar WSS, retrofitting of Umphrew WSS, Umrynjah WSS. 

    The two schemes in progress are augmentation of Mawtawar WSS and Umshillong Lummawnei, Umthlong, Mawiong and Block-13 WSS.
