4 inter-state drug traffickers arrested, Rs 6 cr heroin seized

Four inter-state drug traffickers including a woman were arrested along with heroin worth Rs 6 crore in Shillong on Friday night.

The anti-narcotic task force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills District in a day long operation  finally nabbed four  inter-state drug traffickers one of them being a woman) from Demthring  Shillong  and got a big haul of narcotic drugs, district police chief Sylvester Nongtnger said on Saturday.

55 boxes of Heroin weighing 638.5 gms, 2 mobile phones, 1Maruti Suzuki Eeco bearing R/No. AS 14 AC 0984, 1 EPIC Card, 1 Aadhar Card, he said.

 A case has been registered under appropriate sections of law.
